Three men have been arrested for attempted murder in Bath – after a man was found in a tent with head injuries this morning (Wednesday).
Police raced to a woodland off The Weal, in Weston, at around 3am following a call from a member of the public about ‘someone shouting in pain’.
Officers attended the scene and located a man with “significant head injuries”. He was taken to hospital for treatment for wounds not thought to be life-threatening.
“Three men in their thirties have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder”, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said.
Adding: “All four are believed to be known to one another.
“Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as further enquiries, including forensic examinations, are carried out.
“We’re in the early stages of our enquiries. If you have any information, including CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which could help, please call 101 and give the reference 5225155033.”
Police have confirmed that the incident is not connected to the discovery of a bicycle and pools of blood in The Weal on Monday morning (2 June).
