Arrests have been made after a scout hut in Melksham was vandalised.

Officers investigating ‘mindless’ damage to the building at King George V Playing Field have arrested three males in connection with the incident.

They are being held in custody on suspicion of burglary, Wiltshire Police confirmed.

A spokesperson said: “Three males have been arrested on suspicion of burglary at the Scout Hut, Melksham. The investigation is continuing.

“THANK YOU to everybody who gave us information, commented and shared our post. It has been great to see the community pull together over such a deplorable incident.”

Walls and surfaces appear to have been sprayed with graffiti, and those involved are believed to have urinated on the floor. On tag used repeatedly read “TRIXY LOOUD”.
