UPDATE: Two women arrested after Chippenham drug raids – police update
One person is in custody after police raided two houses in Chippenham.
Officers simultaneously smashed down the front doors of addresses in Lords Mead and Conway Road early this morning (Thursday).
Wiltshire 999s was on scene to document the action. Around 20 cops were involved in the pre-planned operation targeting suspected drug dealers.
Police dogs were also in attendance, with handlers running two spinger spaniels from the properties and associated vehicles parked outside.
At least one person was arrested in connection with the Misuse of Drugs Act warrants.
Detectives were also present, helping officers comb the houses for key evidence as they work to disrupt the supply of Class A substances across the county.
By 8.30am, most of the action was over – with the majority of officers leaving both scenes.
