A pensioner found dead in a quiet road was reportedly strapped into a wheelchair.
Emergency services, including Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, were called to the serious incident in Larkhall, Bath, at around 11am on Monday (11 August).
It’s understood a man, aged in his 70s, was found unresponsive while strapped into a wheelchair in Valley View Close – sparking a significant 999 response.
Two ambulance crews, an ambulance operations officer and a first responder attended alongside the air ambulance’s critical care medics.
Despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that officers “supported the ambulance service with a medical incident”.
Adding: “Sadly a man, in his 70s, died. The cause of death is not considered to be suspicious.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family who are aware of the man’s death.”
