Armed police have been deployed in Swindon after a suspect was ‘seen with a weapon’.
Firearms officers raced to reports of a ‘known individual’ in the Kingshill area today (Saturday).
After the concerns were raised, they attended an address in Walter Close, in West Swindon – but no arrests have been made.
Wiltshire Police said there’s not thought to be a risk to the public.
In a vauge statement, a force spokesperson said: “We are investigating following reports of a known suspect with a potential weapon in the Kingshill area of Swindon.
“Firearms officers were deployed to an address in Walter Close but no arrests have been made.
“We do not believe there to be a risk to the wider public.”
