A suspect has returned to custody after a ‘medical episode’ at Melksham Police Station.
Two air ambulance teams were scrambled to the scene in Hampton Park West shortly before 3pm on Sunday afternoon (3 August).
Great Western Air Ambulance landed in a field opposite the police station, while Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance responded in a rapid response vehicle.

He was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath by land ambulance. He was escorted by several police officers, and remained under arrest.

Having received treatment, he was returned to Melksham Police Station’s custody suite. It’s understood the detainee remains there for questioning this morning (Monday).
