A Swindon woman nearly mowed down her ex and lied to him about a pregnancy following a break-up, a court heard.
Sophie Clifford previously pleaded guilty to a campaign of stalking against her male victim between 28 December 2024 and 28 January 2025.
The 31-year-old, of Blackwell Close, admitted lying about being pregnant in a bid to get her victim’s attention when he refused to engage in requests to chat.
In another incident, she ‘skimmed past’ the man and his friend in her car – leaving them both fearful. On other occasions, she left a gift on his vehicle and turned up at his home.
At Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (23 July), she was sentenced to a 12-month community order including 15 days of rehabilitation work and told to pay a £292 fine.
