UPDATE: Body found in water search for missing 23-year-old man in Buscot
Urgent searches for a person missing in a river near Lechlade are continuing.
Emergency services were called to Buscot Weir, just over the Wiltshire border, at around 9.30pm on Saturday evening (12 July).
It’s understood a person was swimming with friends in the River Thames when they disappeared.

The police helicopter circled Buscot for an hour following reports of the incident, but the aircrew were unable to locate the missing person in the water.
A significant amount of 999 resources were deployed to the scene. There were around seven fire appliances present, including a Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service boat.
This morning (Sunday), searches are ongoing – with Wiltshire Search and Rescue deployed alongside Severn Area Rescue Association and Lowland Rescue teams from Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Berkshire.
Access to the popular beauty spot is likely to be restricted as the operation continues.
