The A303 is blocked following a crash on the major route this afternoon (Friday).
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision near Wylye at around 2pm.
The busy road is partially closed as 999 crews attend the incident, which involved a car and a van.
Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not said to be serious, Wiltshire Police confirmed.
The crash has caused significant delays for motorists, with queues for miles in both directions.
In a statement, the force wrote: “Drivers are advised that the A303 eastbound is partially closed due to a road traffic collision involving a van and a car near the Wylye junction.
“Please seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area.”
