One person has been injured after a car and van crashed near Warminster.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the B3414 at Norton Bavant shortly before 8.30am today (Thursday).
The incident involved a silver Ford Focus and an NHS-branded Ford Transit van.
Both vehicles sustained front offside damage, indicating that one of the drivers crossed the double white line just prior to the impact.
One person, whose sex and age has not been confirmed, suffered a minor injury. It’s believed they were taken to hospital for further assessment.
An fire officer from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service came across the scene, which happened metres from the railway bridge at Norton Bavant.
“One officer came across the scene and on arrival, all casualties had self-extricated, so no crews were necessary”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “The scene was left in the care of the ambulance service and police. Our stop came in at 9am.”
The road was closed in both directions between Bishopstrow Hotel and Spa and Cotley Hill Roundabout on the A36.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that no arrests were made and the road reopened at 11am.
