A man has suffered a serious injury after a disorder broke out in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to the incident in the Gorse Hill area in the early hours of this morning (29 June).
Officers found a man with a “serious injury” nearby – in Norman Road – at around 4am.
A crime scene is in place, with Ferndale Road closed at the bus gate near the junction of Norman Road.
Forensic investigation work is expected to be carried out later in the day.
Speculation online suggests the victim suffered a knife injury – however, Wiltshire Police say this is not the case.

“We are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Gorse Hill during the early hours of this morning (29/06).
“The victim was found with a serious injury in Norman Road following a disorder nearby at around 4am.
“Anyone who witnessed any part of the disorder, or who has any additional information about this incident, is asked to call 101 quoting log 71 of today’s date.”
