An investigation has been launched after a fire partially destroyed a Wiltshire home.
Emergency services were called to the major blaze at a farmhouse in B4553 The Pry, Purton, near Swindon, in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
At the height of the incident, there were six fire crews in attendance. Fire officers remain on scene with the police guarding the scene at 9.45am.
Part of the building was destroyed by flames, with the roof severely damaged.
The road is closed in both directions between Collins Lane and Bremhill Bridge.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the B4553 between its junctions for The Fox and Collins Lane, on the northwest side of Swindon, is currently closed due to a house fire in the early hours of this morning.
“The road is likely to be closed for the next couple of hours while enquiries are carried out at the scene by the emergency services.”
