Police have cordoned off a car park in Corsham after ‘serious’ assault this afternoon (Thursday).

Officers responding to reports of a disorder breaking out near Domino’s Pizza in Newlands Road at around 4.30pm.

Three men were involved in the incident, with one believed to have suffered a serious injury — before fleeing the area

“We believe one of them sustained a facial injury and we are urging him, or anyone who knows him, to get in touch”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.

They added: “He is described as being a white male, aged in his late 30s of slim build and quite short, wearing white shorts and no top.

“If you saw what happened or have information that could help with our enquiries please call 101 quoting log number 216 of today’s date (01/05).

“You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

The usually-busy car park outside The Co-operative and Grounded has been cordoned off, with officers guarding the scene. Forensic work will be carried out later this evening.
