Police are patrolling near a school after children reported being followed by a man.
Pupils walking home from Royal Wootton Bassett Academy claim a van driver was deliberate trailing behind them on two known occasions recent days.
The incident was reported to Wiltshire Police, and more officers will be visible in the area.
In a statement, the force said: “Neighbourhood police officers are mounting additional patrols following reported concerns from pupils that a van driver may have followed them on their way home from Royal Wootton Basset Academy.
“Our officers are engaging with the school this afternoon and anyone with concerns for their safety should either approach them or contact 101.
“We treat reports of this nature seriously and there is no suggestion that the children involved came to harm.
“In an emergency, always call 999.”
