A body has been found a woods during a major search for a missing man in Calne.
Concerns were raised about the welfare of a 28-year-old man – sparking an urgent hunt for him in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
The National Police Air Service helicopter and Wiltshire Search and Rescue volunteers supposed officers with the search.
A body – believed to be that of the missing man – was located in Penn Wood, off the A3102 Calne bypass. Watch our report from the scene on TikTok >
“Sadly, a body was discovered and the man’s family has been informed”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed.
They added: “Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
“We do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”
