Police launch probe after arson attack on Swindon house

Police have launched a probe after an arson attack on a house in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to a property fire in Castleton Road, in Middleleaze, at around 2am this morning (Sunday).

Firefighters tackled the flames and nobody was injured in the incident.

However, Wiltshire Police are now investigating the fire as deliberate.

A force spokesperson said: “It is believed the fire was started around 1.45am but luckily, no one was injured.

“Officers have been carrying out house to house and CCTV enquiries and a cordon is on the property while an investigation is carried out.
