An urgent hunt is underway for a ‘knifeman’ after a stabbing in a Wiltshire town.

Kieran Hutchinson is the prime suspect in a violent attack in Ludgershall on Sunday (25 August).

The 30-year-old is wanted after a man, aged in his 40s, sustained stab wounds described as “serious and potentially life-changing”.

The alleged attacker has links to south Wiltshire and Andover, in Hampshire – with searches ongoing.

Detective Inspector Eirin Martin said: “This was a serious targeted assault on a man who is known to Hutchinson, and we are conducting extensive enquiries across our communities in the south to locate and arrest him.

“We are also asking for the public’s help in finding him.

“If anybody has any knowledge on his whereabouts, or has seen him, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, ideally giving a location and direction of travel, and a description of what he’s wearing.

“We would also like to make a direct appeal to Hutchinson himself to please hand himself in.”

Anyone with information or sights Hutchinson is asked to call police on 999 quoting log 65 of 25 August.
