Wiltshire police officer faces allegations of sexual misconduct

A Wiltshire police officer could be sacked if allegations of sexual misconduct are proven.

PC James Aubrey is to appear before a Gross Misconduct Hearing chaired by Assistant Chief Constable Deb Smith at 10am on Monday 8 July.

The officer is accused of engaging in sexual contact with female officer without consent on six occasions over a five-month period.

The allegations in full:

1) On 5 November 2022, PC Aubrey was off-duty and made sexual contact with Police Constable A without her consent.

2) On 6 January 2023, PC Aubrey was on duty with Police Constable A carrying out mobile patrol. PC Aubrey made sexual contact with, and acted in a sexually inappropriate manner towards, Police Constable A without her consent.

3) On 7 February 2023, PC Aubrey was off-duty and made sexual contact with Police Constable A without her consent. PC Aubrey also acted in a sexually inappropriate manner towards Police Constable A without her consent.

4) On 25 February 2023, PC Aubrey was off-duty and made sexual contact with Police Constable A without her consent. PC Aubrey also acted in a sexually inappropriate manner towards Police Constable A without her consent.

5) On 24 March 2023, PC Aubrey was off-duty and made sexual contact with Police Constable A without her consent. PC Aubrey also acted in a sexually inappropriate manner towards Police Constable A without her consent.

6) On 9 April 2023, PC Aubrey was off-duty and made sexual contact with Police Constable A without her consent. PC Aubrey also acted in a sexually inappropriate manner towards Police Constable A without her consent.

If the allegations are proven, PC Aubrey could lose his job and be barred from policing.
