Armed police were tasked after a ‘serious incident’ at a Melksham home.
It’s understood firearms officers were sent to a domestic disturbance at an address in Williams Close at around 9am this morning (Friday).
Locals reported seeing a significant police presence in the area, including on nearby Somerset Crescent.
While the specifics of the incident are unknown, it has been confirmed that a man – aged in his 30s – was arrested at the scene.
He’s currently being held in custody on suspicion of making threats to kill.
