Two air ambulance crews have been called to a serious incident in Chippenham.

South Western Ambulance Service responded to a medical emergency at a property in Heron Way at around 12.30pm this afternoon (Thursday).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended in a critical care car, whilst Great Western Air Ambulance (GWAA) arrived by helicopter – landing in a field nearby.

Two double-crewed ambulances and a paramedic officer were also on scene.

The patient rushed to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for further treatment. GWAA touched down at the hospital’s landing site at around 1.45pm.
