A ‘drunk’ ice cream man has been whipped off to custody after being arrested in Devizes.

Police stopped the Cadbury-branded vehicle over the driver’s lack of seatbelt today (Tuesday).

The driver of the purple ice cream van subsequently complied with a roadside breath test – which resulted 90 microgrammes of alcohol, where the limit is 35.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
