A woman has been charged and a man was arrested after an incident in Chippenham.
Police responded to reports of a possible drink driver in the area shortly before 10pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, 26 July).
The suspect vehicle was stopped in London Road and the driver provided a positive sample of breath, which resulted in their arrest.
Stacey Lamb, 25, of Monks Way, Chippenham, has since been charged with drink driving.
During the incident, a male is alleged to have become abusive. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and then further arrested for assaulting an emergency worker.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
