A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after ‘overtaking a tractor’ on the B4042.
Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on the busy route at The Common, near Brinkworth, at around 4.30pm today (Friday).
The biker, a man aged in his 40s, hit the side of a white van after reportedly overtaking a tractor.
The casualty sustained a broken pelvis and leg and was rushed to Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance, an ambulance crew and an operations officer attended the scene alongside numerous police units, including a roads policing sergeant and inspector.
Following the recovery of the motorcycle shortly after 7pm, the road was reopened in both directions.
