A young boy has been run over by a car on a quiet residential road in Westbury.
Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision in Hawkeridge Park at around 7.30pm this evening (Monday).
The boy, who is believed to be aged seven or eight, was reportedly hit and then run over by a car. The extent of his injuries is currently unclear.
An ambulance crew and numerous police units are in attendance, and the road is blocked at present.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that no arrests were made in connection with the incident, and the driver remained at the scene.
