UPDATE: Boys, 15, arrested after violent disorder in Devizes as police seize weapons

Armed police were called to a serious incident in Devizes this evening (Sunday).

At least eight police vehicles were parked in the Naughton Avenue area from around 5.30pm.

Officers appeared to be focused on a house, with numerous weapons seized from inside the address.

At least seven weapons – possibly more – were taken out of a house by police – including an axe, a metal pole, wooden sticks, a baseball bat and a bladed article (possibly a machete).

The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth was also scrambled to the scene; it circled above for a short time before leaving the area.

Several armed police officers were at the location alongside local officers, though the exact nature of the incident that unfolded is currently unknown.
