A suspected illegal immigrant was arrested during a raid on a shop in Corsham.
Home Office officers and Wiltshire Police carried out a warrant at Londis, in Pickwick Road, yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 19 October).
During a search of the premises, a suspected illegal immigrant was located and arrested. The man remains in Melksham custody today.
The news comes less than two weeks after neighbouring business, Amore Italian restaurant, was raided by the Home Office.
During that operation, a number of people were found working illegally – including a Brazilian national and three Albanian nationals.
The Home Office has been approached for comment.
