A motorcyclist has hit a road sign after failing to negotiate a roundabout on the A350.

The serious smash happened on Littleton Roundabout at around 2.45pm today (Tuesday, 11 October).

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to the incident, with three specially-trained critical care medics responding in their branded Volvo rapid response vehicle.

The rider – who impacted a road sign on the roundabout – is believed to have sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the scene.

The roundabout is partially blocked, and severe delays are building in the area.

Wiltshire Police says the rider’s injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.

The route is likely to be heavily congested during rush hour, as police investigate the collision and work to reopen the roundabout.
