UPDATE: The road was closed until around midnight whilst engineers fixed the cabling.
A road near Chippenham has been closed after a power cable fell to the ground.
Fire crews are in attendance outside Chippenham Golf Centre in Tiddleywink, near Yatton Keynell, having first been called to the scene at around 5pm today (26 September).
Police are also on scene – and have closed the road in both directions.
The electricity company that manages the cables are also thought to have been tasked.
