King Charles and the Queen Consort landed in a helicopter at her Wiltshire mansion shortly after his late mother’s procession today (Wednesday, 14 September).

Charles and Camilla returned to her estate in Reybridge near Lacock at around 4.30pm, with the Royal aircraft landing in a field alongside Camilla’s home, Ray Mill House.

The landing sported an audience of just three people – a huge contrast from what has been seen at Royal residences across Britain this week.

Suitcases were seen being placed into cars before Charles – still in his livery – was seen driving himself away from the estate.

King Charles drove himself out of Rey Mill House and through Lacock

He is expected to make the 30-minute drive to his home, Highgrove House near Tetbury, Glos., escorted by The Met’s Special Escort Group.

Camilla is expected to continue residing at Ray Mill House, which is not officially part of the Royal estate, on occasion – just as she has done for years.

She purchased the £850,000 property after divorcing her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles in 1994 and she lived there from 1996 to 2003.
