A woman has been found dead at the bottom of a Swindon car park.

South Western Ambulance Service and Wiltshire Police were called to the town centre this morning following the discovery of a body by a member of the public.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Gordon Gardens at around 6.30am.

A bystander told Wiltshire 999s that the body was ‘unidentifiable’.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called to Gordon Gardens in Swindon town centre shortly after 6.30am today after the body of a woman was found.

“We are not treating her death as suspicious and a file will now be prepared for H M Coroner for Wiltshire. Our thoughts are with her family at this time.”
