A number of teenagers have reportedly been attacked by a group of ‘rogue teens’ in Chippenham.

The incidents are alleged to have taken place at John Coles Park at around 6pm on Monday (15 August).

According to a parent, one child was told to hand over this mobile phone, but on refusing, he was punched.

Wiltshire Police has launched a probe into the assaults alongside Chippenham Town Council.

It’s believed some of those involved in the incidents were wearing ski masks, and there are said to be numerous victims.

In a statement, Chippenham Town Council said: “We are aware of recent anti-social and criminal activity that has taken place in John Coles Park, and are working alongside Wiltshire Police to fully support their investigation and to ensure that positive action is taken to disrupt this unwanted behaviour.

“If you witness any anti-social or criminal activity, please report it to the police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information relating to this incident should contact Wiltshire Police by calling 101. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
