A Swindon road has been closed as parents pick up their children from a nearby school after a bollard caught fire on a roundabout’s traffic island.
Whitworth Road was closed by police between the Thames Avenue and Olive Grove as firefighters worked to tackle the blaze which has destroyed the bollard.
The road reopened at around 3.30pm.
