A Wiltshire road is closed after a car wiped out a telegraph pole.

Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on the A354 south of Coombe Bissett, near Salisbury, at around 2pm this afternoon (15 June).

A car appears to have overturned and impacted a telegraph pole, which has fallen into the road.

A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the road “will remain closed for some time”.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police wrote: “We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the A354 near Coombe Bissett.

“We received a call shortly before 2pm today and emergency services are currently at the scene.

“Please find alternative routes at this time.”
