Wiltshire Police is investigating a “serious arson” attack that took place in Warminster.

A suspect is believed to have set fire to the front door of a house in Princess Gardens between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on Valentine’s Day (14 February).

The force is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward to assist detectives with their enquiries.

A spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the areas of Princess Gardens, Boreham Field, Queensway and Woodcock Road between the above times, and in particular people hanging around or running away from the area of Princess Gardens.

“We are also asking people in the area to check their ring doorbells and CCTV cameras.

“We would also like to appeal to the male pictured below who was seen on CCTV in the area at the time, wearing a white backpack. We would urgently like to speak to this person to help with our enquiries.
