A Swindon town centre road was closed this afternoon while an incident was ongoing.
Six police units, alongside the ambulance service, responded to reports of a person on the edge of Spring Gardens Car Park near the Jobcentre Plus at around 3pm.
The roads Spring Gardens and Spring Close were closed for a short time while 999 crews dealt with the mental health-related incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said there were concerns for the ‘safety of a man’ but the incident was ‘resolved’ shortly afterwards; one man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
