A man has been arrested following a double assault in Chippenham.
Wiltshire Police received reports of a man being abusive and making threats on the driveway of a home in Pewsham at around 10pm last night.
As police officers were responding to the incident in Chivers Road, the husband of the 999 caller was assaulted by the man.
Another man was also assaulted by the suspect before police arrived.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of Section 4 public order offences.
South Western Ambulance Service did send resources to the incident, however, it’s not known if anyone suffered notable injuries.
