Wiltshire Police is warning people not to attempt journeys in the snow today.

The warning follows heavy snowfall across the county overnight, with most areas seeing a coating of more than 15cm.

“The roads are extremely treacherous and please do not attempt any journey unless absolutely necessary”, a police spokesperson commented.

Adding: “The snow ploughs are out and hopefully this snow will stop this morning.

“Please take extreme care.”
