Emergency services are currently working at the scene of a serious collision in Devizes.
Maryport Street has been cordoned off as a crime scene whilst police investigate the cause of the crash, involving a car and a 93-year-old woman, at around 11am this morning.
The casualty, from the local area, had suffered suspected hip injuries, alongside possible internal injuries. She was taken to the Great Western Hospital, Swindon.
The road will remain closed while a collision investigation is carried out. There are severe traffic delays on all connecting roads due to the closure.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, and hasn’t already spoken with police is asked to call 101 and quote log 97 of today’s date.
