Dozens of schoolchildren had the chance to view Wiltshire Air Ambulance up-close when it landed in their playing field on Wednesday.
Chief pilot Matt Wilcock offered pupils from King’s Lodge Primary School in Chippenham the chance to gather around the aircraft and ask questions.
A school spokesperson said it was “very exciting for all the children and staff”.
The air ambulance – supported by a critical care car – were responding to a serious medical emergency at a private address nearby at around 11am on 4 November.
“Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to an incident in Chippenham at 10:52am on Wednesday 4 November. We attended in both our helicopter and Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV), landing G-WLTS at King’s Lodge Primary School”, a spokesperson for the charity said.
Adding: “Pupils from the school came out to see the helicopter, always keeping a safe social distance, with our chief pilot Matt Wilcock able to answer their questions.
“We thank King’s Lodge Primary School for their kind hospitality.”
