A man’s body was found in public toilets in Salisbury this morning.

Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service shortly before 4am this morning following a report that a man had been found deceased in the public toilets in Market Place.

As a result of the cordons in place, the market due to take place today has been cancelled.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained, however, a cordon is currently in place in the Market Place while enquiries are carried out.

“Please avoid the area while these enquiries are conducted.”
