Wiltshire Police has reopened the A419 in Swindon tonight after successfully bring a young man down safely after he threatened to jump from a bridge.
The incident took place between 8pm and 9.30pm on the bridge near the Harvester.
Wiltshire 999s understands that the man was taken away from the scene in handcuffs (possibly detained under the Mental Health Act, but this is unconfirmed).
This is not believed to be linked to this morning’s incident in Swindon town centre.
