Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s critical care medics treated a casualty in Corsham today.

The helicopter landed in Meriton Recreation Ground off Pickwick Road at around 5.30pm this afternoon, responding to reports of a man with burns caused by fire.

The casualty is believed to have suffered serious burns to both arms at a property in Dickens Avenue.

The patient made his own way to the hospital for treatment and the air ambulance returned to base. There were no signs of any ambulance vehicle at the scene.
