Six people have been confirmed dead following a terrorist attack in London.

Attackers, dressed in fake explosive vests, descended on London Bridge at around 10pm last night, 3 June, hitting pedestrians with a van and then many stabbing others.

Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley told the press that there were only three attackers involved and the explosive vests they were wearing were “hoaxes”.

All three suspects were shot dead at the scene.

Police say they are investigating the incident as a terrorist act.

Michelle Donelan, Conservative candidate and former MP for Chippenham tweeted: “Horrified and shocked by the attack in London this evening. All we can do is pray as we await news of the incident.”
