Thieves have stolen charity donations from a nature reserve in South Wiltshire.

The incident took place at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust site Langford Lakes overnight between Sunday 26 July and this morning (Monday 27 July).

The nature reserve, off the A36 near Stapleford, allows visitors to make a financial donation to the upkeep through a donation box.

A spokesperson for the charity apologised to donors, commenting that they were “sorry for all the people whose donations didn’t go where they thought they would”.

The amount taken from within the donations box is unknown.

Anyone with information is urged to call Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting reference 54200073976.
