A Swindon road was closed this afternoon as 999 crews attended a serious medical incident.
Cowleaze, in Ridgeway Farm, was shut to traffic and pedestrians at around 4.30pm as three ambulances and a paramedic rapid response vehicle blocked the road.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed nearby as critical care medics attended the scene.
Four police vehicles were parked in the road as officers assisted ambulance crews, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
The casualty was taken to Great Western Hospital by land ambulance.
The road reopened at around 5.15pm.
