Armed police officers scrambled to a report of a person with a weapon this evening.
Following a call to police, the specialist firearms unit raced to the scene in a quiet residential street in Amesbury at around 5pm.
On arrival in Imber Avenue, the person was found to be a licensed pest controller.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that ‘all was in order’ following the armed police presence in the area.
