All three emergency services, police, fire and ambulance rushed to the scene. Luckily, there were not serious injuries and the road was reopened within an hour.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “A number of residents were very vocal about the road markings and state of the road at the scene, from the photos you could possibly see why.

Taken by police, this photo shows the road’s state.

“However we are not the right agency to raise your concerns to and especially when we are dealing with a collision. Please contact the Highways department at Wiltshire Council.”
