A man was arrested following a sex attack in central Swindon last night.
Police officers raced to the incident in Manchester Road at around 10.30pm where it is understood a woman was threatened with a wooden stick and sexually assaulted.
The incident happened just moments after a man was arrested following an indecent exposure in the road. The man was also arrested for assaulting a police officer and a public order offence.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police commented: “A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and is currently in custody.”
Four police cars and a police van were at the scene, parked near the junction with Gladstone Street.
