A woman’s been charged with assaulting a police officer after coughing at them in custody.
It happened at Gablecross Police Station on Saturday after 28-year-old Chantelle Hayward was arrested for damaging a police van.
The woman, of Stratford Road, Swindon, has since been charged with with assaulting an officer and criminal damage.
She has been released on bail and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on 8 July.
