A popular Trowbridge restaurant is facing fines of up to £80,000 following a raid carried out by Immigration Enforcement teams last weekend.

Four illegal workers were found at the Cinnamon Lounge on Silver Street.

Two people aged 29 and 31 have been detained pending removal from the UK, while two others aged 18 and 59 were ordered to report to Immigration Enforcement, according to a report by the Wiltshire Times.

The restaurant has been warned that it could be served with a fine of up to £20,000 per illegal worker, unless they can provide evidence they are allowed to work in the UK legally.
